The Cat part refers to how you get into the area you are going to ride.  'Cat' is a short name for Snow Cats, also known as groomers in their mundane life at ski areas. With Cascade Powder Cats, Cats get to live up to their potential as machines that can traverse great distances in very deep, fluffy snow to get you to the good stuff.  To know more about them, check out the Cats FAQ.

The Riding part is where the fun comes in.  It is going into the backcountry to ride down a mountain on natural, ungroomed snow.  Think of that first run you scored on a powder day at a winter resort - no tracks in front of you, every turn a 'first track'.  Remember how quickly the fresh snow disappeared as thousands of your fellow riders completed lap after lap of the same area?

Imagine that day with only 12 people on the whole mountain.  Imagine that every run could be on a different slope.  Imagine fresh turns on every single run.

That is what we strive to give you every day at Cascade Powder Cats.
