Our Windy Mountain Yurt is surrounded by amazing ski and snowboard touring terrain. Within a 15-30 minute tour your group can be at the top of open north facing bowls, long gladed runs, and fun pillowed tree runs, and long rolling powder runs. The Windy Mountain yurt offers a variety of terrain and aspects for all weather and avalanche conditions. The Yurts are located perfectly for all levels of skiers to access this awesome terrain. Our guides are very familiar with the best skiing terrain in our valley for your group. Choose to spend time doing backcountry skills or advanced touring routes. Skilled at first aid, backcountry navigation, avalanche forecasting and specifically the variety of terrain in the Martin Creek, Windy Mountain, and Captain Point sections. They will provide the direction and knowledge to access the best runs and the best snow in an efficient manner. Our guides are also skilled instructors and have experience with a wide variety of touring gear. With average professional guiding experience of our guides at 15+ years, you are guaranteed to enjoy your stay and gourmet backcountry cuisine! The 24' diameter Windy Mountain Yurt is outfitted to equip groups of up to 10 people in comfy beds and keeps you warm all night long with a woodstove and full stock of firewood. It is equipped with a propane kitchen set up to provide fast, healthy, and delicious meals to you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
